Dr. Coffman received her MD and Ph.D. at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, she performed her internal medicine residency and fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at the University of Michigan through the ABIM Research Pathway. She is now an Assistant professor with joint appointments in the Division of Hematology/Oncology and Division of Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Coffman is a physician-scientist with an active laboratory studying the stroma microenvironment in ovarian cancer and has an active clinical practice treating women with gynecologic malignancies.
Interest/specialization: Ovarian cancer, endometrial cancer, cervical cancer, translational research, and clinical trials. Laboratory focus on the stromal to tumor interactions that drive ovarian cancer initiation, progression, and treatment resistance.
